Current use
MindAssistant uses authentication cookies and local browser storage needed to sign you in, keep the selected workspace, preserve legacy or signed-in work, remember essential interface state and prevent loss during retries. These functions are necessary to provide the service you request.
Pre-account session and first-party diagnostics
If you start with Freya before signing in, MindAssistant sets a secure, HttpOnly, same-site first-party session cookie named mindassistant_freya_funnel. The browser holds the opaque token and the server stores only its one-way hash. This cookie lets the server return only the temporary intake draft belonging to that browser. It normally expires after 24 hours and the application does not permit a duration longer than seven days.
MindAssistant also uses a secure, HttpOnly, same-site first-party cookie named mindassistant_funnel_telemetry for content-free operational funnel records. It expires after 30 days. The records contain allowlisted actions and coarse technical/acquisition context, not the situation you describe, answers, conversations, generated summaries, or plan content. Because the identifier persists for a limited period and may be linked to an account after conversion, this data is pseudonymous rather than anonymous.
Advertising measurement
MindAssistant records limited aggregate service totals without an advertising identifier or analytics cookie. When Google Ads measurement is configured, its base tag loads with advertising, analytics, user-data, and personalisation storage denied. In this state Google may receive limited cookieless measurement signals, but MindAssistant does not send a purchase event. If you allow advertising measurement, advertising and analytics storage may then be used and completed purchases can be counted. Google purchase events include the amount, currency, and a unique MindAssistant order reference so Google Ads can measure value and avoid duplicate conversions. Advertising personalisation remains disabled.
Meta Pixel is different: MindAssistant does not load Meta code, initialise the Pixel, send a PageView, or intentionally create Meta advertising cookies before you allow advertising measurement. After permission, Meta can receive neutral PageView, CompleteRegistration, InitiateCheckout, and verified Purchase events. Purchase events contain the actual amount, currency, and a unique event reference used to prevent duplicates. Advanced Matching is not enabled. MindAssistant does not intentionally send intake answers, personal narratives, problem categories, companion or plan content, health or other sensitive information, contact details, or payment-card details through either advertising integration.
Types of storage
- Authentication and security cookies needed to sign you in and protect the account.
- The temporary pre-account session cookie described above.
- The content-free first-party operational funnel cookie described above.
- Local browser storage that preserves signed-in or legacy unfinished work, the selected workspace, and essential interface preferences.
- Strictly necessary storage used by hosting or checkout services on their own pages.
Your controls
You can use the Privacy choices control to allow, decline, or later withdraw optional Google Ads and Meta advertising measurement. Declining does not prevent you from starting the pre-account intake, creating an account, using MindAssistant, or purchasing a plan. Withdrawing stops future optional advertising events and removes accessible first-party Google Ads and Meta measurement cookies. This advertising choice does not control the temporary product-session or content-free first-party operational records described above, which are not sent to those advertising providers.
You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or remove locally cached progress that has not yet synchronised. Clearing the pre-account cookie prevents that browser from resuming its server-side draft; the abandoned draft remains inaccessible through that browser and expires under the retention period described above.
